Representatives of Speedway say a regular unleaded gasoline shipment delivered earlier this month to four of their stores in the Dayton area may have been contaminated with diesel fuel.

The shipment is believed to have been delivered by a supplier on Jan 10, to Speedway’s location on North Xenia Drive in Enon, one on Arlington Road in Brookville, another on Miller Lane in Dayton and one on Dayton Pike in Germantown.

Marna Berlekamp, a communications specialist with Speedway’s parent company Marathon Petroleum, said in an email to the Springfield News-Sun that the company is currently conducting a further investigation into the matter.

“The fuel in the regular unleaded tanks at the above-listed stores has since been replaced and meets specifications,” the email stated.

Representatives of Speedway said on Tuesday that customers who have purchased fuel at any of the four locations, that may have received the contaminated shipment, between 8 p.m., Jan. 10 to Jan. 14, should contact the company’s customer service line at 1-800-643-1948.
