Former WHIO-TV anchor/reporter Ken Jefferson dies

Former News Center 7 anchor Ken Jefferson has died this weekend after a brief illness, according to WVIR-TV, the most recent news station where he worked in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Ken Jefferson left WHIO-TV in 2002 after a 25-year career as an anchor/reporter.

Ken Jefferson has been at WHIO for 25 years.  He came to Dayton from Evansville, Indiana, after graduating from the University of Florida. He is in the newsroom at Channel 7 getting ready for the noon news. STAFF FILE

A native of Richmond, Virginia, Jefferson was 65 years old.
