Parents and grandparents smiled as the decorated floats passed by.

Joe and Marti Ventolo , who have lived in Enon for decades, said the annual parade is special.
“It’s a tradition,” Marti Ventolo said. “We’re either in the parade with some of the groups we belong to, or we come and watch and wave at our friends in the parade. It’s just a nice way to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday.”
Joe Ventolo said the event is nice for the community.
“It has been for years,” he said. “We raised three daughters here in Enon. It’s a place to stay.”
Amy Lawson and her son traveled from Springfield for the parade. It was her first time at the Enon parade.

“We wanted to do something festive,” Lawson said.
She said being an American is a blessing.
The FFA Queen, the park district’s full-size Revolutionary War cannon and crew, scouts, politicians, public office holders, and floats by churches, clubs, and businesses filled the procession.
The parade was sponsored by the Enon/Mad River Fire and EMS. After the parade was finished, the community was invited to a public picnic at in the bays at of the Mad River Twp. firehouse.
