Driver crashes into pond at Snyder Park in Springfield

A driver escaped without injury Tuesday afternoon after crashing an SUV into a pond.

The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. at Snyder Park in Springfield.

Police said the driver lost control and over-corrected before crashing into the pond.

Crews had to block the road to get the vehicle out of the pond.
