CORONAVIRUS REMINDER: Special store hours for seniors, high-risk in Clark County

Clark County grocery stores are dedicating early morning hours to senior and high-risk shoppers, in response to the COVID-19, or coronavirus outbreak.

Here are the shopping times dedicated to senior and high-risk shoppers: 

Dollar General

8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Every day

IGA - Enon
7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays

IGA - New Carlisle
7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays

Kroger
7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Meijer
7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays

Walmart
6 a.m. to 7 a.m. Tuesdays

Other citizens, including doctors, nurses and first-responders who might work late shifts and be limited when they can make their grocery trips are allowed to take advantage of the special hours, Sheriff Deb Burchett confirmed.

The Center for Disease Control has advised older adults and those of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from the new coronavirus.

High-risk conditions include chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma, heart disease with complications, those who are immunocompromised (including those receiving cancer treatments) and people of any age with severe obesity, diabetes, renal failure or liver disease.
