Northeastern Local School District has canceled their planned traditional graduation ceremonies.

Northeastern’s ceremony was scheduled for today at 10 a.m. and Kenton Ridge’s was set for Tuesday at 10 a.m.

“While we tried to allow as much time as possible for conditions to improve with the hope that we would be able to have our traditional ceremony, it is clear that our traditional graduation ceremonies will not be possible,” Kronour said.

Graduating seniors were able to have individual ceremonies between May 18 and 29. Each student was able to walk across the stage and receive their diploma.

Although a traditional ceremony is not able to happen, the district will still celebrate with a compiled video of the individual graduations at 6 p.m. on Tuesday on the district’s Facebook and YouTube page, Kronour said.
