COhatch The Market in Springfield is presenting Couch Fest, a live streaming experience, tonight starting at 6:30 p.m.

“Couch Fest is our way of trying to bring some light in this dark situation,” Community Orchestrator Joseph Harrison said. “Music brings people together and encourages life, and since we can’t all gather together, we figured why not bring the show to your living room.”

To tune in, visit Springfield USA on Facebook.

COhatch is following the recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that no more than 50 people gather at a time by having all performers perform in a different location in COhatch. This means there are not more than six people in a location at the same time and family members and guests are not permitted in the facility, Harrison explained.

He added that each musician has their own microphone and headset.

“People definitely should tune in just like they would come to a free concert,” Harrison said. “Grab some local food and drinks, bring your family - just go to your couch and tune in instead.”

COhatch, a Columbus-based company, is offering a variety of co-working options, private offices, event space, and restaurants in the historic Myers Market building at 101 S. Fountain Ave.
