READ: Springfield City Schools present initial fall reopening plans
According to the release, the following five students were awarded the scholarships:
- Abigail Baucant-Fulk was awarded the Heartland Federal Credit Union/CCRTA Scholarship. She graduated from Kenton Ridge High School in 2015 and will be a senior at Wright State University studying Early Childhood Education.
- Drew Speas was awarded the Wallace and Edna Smith Scholarship. She graduated from the Global Impact STEM Academy in 2018 and will be a junior at Ohio State University studying Music Education.
- Audri Blackburn was awarded a CCRTA Scholarship. She graduated from Kenton Ridge High School in 2018 and will be a junior at Ohio State University preparing to be an Intervention Specialist.
- Cheyann Neal was awarded a CCRTA Scholarship. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 2017 and will be a senior at Wright State University preparing to teach math and social studies.
- Maria Rinaldi was awarded a CCRTA Scholarship. She graduated from Northeastern High School in 2018 and will be a senior at Miami University studying integrated English language arts.

The scholarships are funded by donations from retired teachers and others from Clark County.
The open period for applying for a scholarship is from Jan. 15 to March 20 each year, the release stated. The application form and requirements can be found on the outreach link of ccrtaohio.com.
