General admission is $6. Admission is free for children five and under. Parking is free. A weekly pass is $30.00. All concerts are included in the $6 admission fee.

“We have a fair that has something for everyone,” said Dean Blair, Executive Director of the Clark County Fair.

A highlight for this year’s fair includes Nerger’s Bengal tigers along with appearances by two Cincinnati Bengals Ben-Gal cheerleaders.

The Champion Showcase and Junior Fair Livestock Auction is scheduled for Friday, July 27. This will be the second year that animals are sold on a single day.

Grand Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday in the Champion Center Banquet Facilities.

The 2018 Clark County Fair Queen Contest will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, also in the Champion Center Banquet Facilities.

A week of concerts are also scheduled.

The fair will also host events in celebration of Clark County’s 200th anniversary. Clark County’s Ohio Bicentennial Bell will be moved from the Heritage Museum to the fairgrounds, where it will be displayed during the week of the fair, Blair said.

The Heritage Museum is also co-sponsoring Agriculture Through the Ages an exhibit that includes 19th and 20th Century farm machinery, tools, and artifacts, according to Blair. The exhibit will highlight artifacts from Springfield, Blair said.

The museum will also host its own transportation themed exhibit inside the Annex building at the fairgrounds, according to Blair.

“We are very unique, and there is so much to see here and experience,” Blair said. “We’re very excited about what we’re doing at the fair, and we just want everyone to be able to come and experience it.”
