The fair will run through Friday, July 26. Gates will open each day at 8 a.m. with general admission at $6, which includes free parking and admission into all concerts. Admission is free for children five and younger. Rides require tickets or a wrist band purchased separately.

In addition to fair staples such as funnel cakes and 4-H competitions, there will also be some returning favorites like the BenGals cheerleaders, Erick Kand’s Comedy Hypnosis Show and Grand Illusions Magic show.
“Last year we brought in some really special attractions. We normally don’t do the same thing two years in a row, but some of them were so good, we’re bringing them back,” Blair said.
All events at the fair will be family-friendly, Blair said, but guests looking to get the most bang-for-their-buck should attend Kids Day, on Wednesday, July 24. All kids ages 14 and under will get in free, ride bands will be cheaper and free games will be held on the field at the grandstand section of the fair.
“It’s a great deal, and the kids always have a blast,” Blair said. “There is so much for them to do.”
LOCAL: Urbana City School’s considers levy options
For guests looking to attend a tractor or truck pull, there will be six separate opportunities for guests to watch and hear the roar of tractors and trucks competing in feats of strength. KOI Drag Races will be held on both Friday, July 19, and Monday, July 22. Tractor pulls are scheduled for Saturday, July 20 (NTPA) and Tuesday, July 23 (COTPA).
All tugs and pulls, except for the indoor, will be held at the grandstand section of the fair.
Both the Mercantile and Annex buildings will feature exhibits such as the Heritage Museum Display, motorcycle dealer display and, most importantly, air conditioning. For the first time this year, the Mercantile building will also offer a breast feeding area for mothers.
“We have worked with the health department to make sure there is a draped area that will be specifically for women who need to breast feed,” Blair said.
