Clark County auditor launches new Web site

SPRINGFIELD — A new Web site for the Clark County Auditor’s Office went live this week.

The site is designed to be more user-friendly and improve operation efficiency, said Auditor George Sodders.

The new Web site address is www.clarkcountyauditor.org.

The site is a major project for Tanya Schilling, the office’s new information technology director. Schilling replaced Bill Kitzler, who is now auditor of Wyandot County.

Detailed contact information, office press releases and interactive Google mapping and directions are some features of the site, Schilling said.

The previous Web site did not have the technology to keep track of visitors to the auditor’s page; but the updated technology will have those capabilities, she added.

Users will have access to forms that they can download, complete and mail to the auditor’s office, including dog licensing forms and board of revision property value appeals.

Officials anticipate that county residents will eventually be able to submit those forms on the site.

The auditor’s office is wrapping up less than 800 appeals to 2008 property values. That number is well below the record-breaking 2,836 appeals filed in response to Clark County’s 2007 revaluation.
