A Dayton man agreed to meet 18-year-old Alexis Insley of Springfield on Tuesday night after the two had been talking online, Sgt. Joe Tedeschi said.
When the man picked her up in Springfield, several other people got into the car with her and the group rode around the city.
“A weapon was produced by one of the subjects in the car, demanding that he (the man) exit the car and they were going to take the car with them,” Tedeschi said.
A fight started between the people outside of the car on Raffensperger Avenue and the driver was shot in the leg and carjacked.
According to documents filed in Clark County Municipal Court, when police responded to the scene of the shooting, the man told them that three women and a man stole his 2017 red Ford Focus.
Shortly after, officers spotted the car near Buckeye Street and Elder Street — but when they tried to pull the driver over, he took off.
The driver, who was later identified as 18-year-old Keith Kunce was found by officers in the Linwood and Lexington neighborhood after he ran from the scene of the crash, according to police.
Kunce and two women inside the car were taken into custody, but Tedeschi said only Insley will face charges.
On Wednesday, Kunce was arraigned on felony charges relating to the chase.
Insley was charged with robbery for an unrelated — but similar incident.
Court documents say in September, she met a Springfield man on a dating app called, ‘Plenty-O-Fish.’
An affidavit says when the man picked Insley up, she was joined by several other women who got into the car and told the man to either pull $100 out of his bank account and give it to them, or they threatened to tell police the man kidnapped and raped them.
Insley began to aggressively hit the man, according to the document.
Kunce’s bond was set at $10,500 and Insley’s was set at $10,000.

2. Springfield man, center of Homeland Security child porn raid, indicted
Charles Tyree, 29, was indicted in Clark County Common Pleas Court with six counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and two counts of voyeurism. A next court date in the case has not been set.
Tyree was first charged in Clark County Municipal Court with similar crimes. An affidavit filed with those charges allege Tyree secretly recorded a child in the child’s bedroom and posted naked photos of the child on an online chat application.
Springfield police began an investigation when they were contacted by Homeland Security.
“(An agent) stated an undercover agent was communicating with a suspect through a social media application between (Sept. 9 through Sept. 18),” the affidavit says. “(The agent) stated the suspect uploaded four nude images of the child victim into a social media application. (The agent) stated the undercover agent engaged in chatting with the suspect who acknowledged that he was actively attempting to become sexually active with the child victim.”

Homeland Security carried out the search warrant at a home on Kenton Street where electronic devices were located and seized, according to the affidavit. The equipment was analyzed, information was seized from the electronic equipment and Tyree was identified as the suspect, the affidavit says.
“Special agents were able to locate hidden cameras in the residence in the child victim’s bedroom and pointing toward the bathroom,” the affidavit says.
The affidavit also says Tyree invoked his right to counsel and was not interviewed by police. He was booked into the jail following his arrest.
3. Springfield man charged after overdose crash with kid in car
Charles Hildum, 45, was charged in Clark County Municipal Court with children endangering. An arraignment set for Monday was continued, according to online court records.
Springfield police began their investigation around 10 a.m. Sunday when they were called to the 1600 block of Yellow Springs Street in reference to a crash. The caller said the driver was barely breathing and there was a small child inside the car, according to an affidavit filed with the charges.
“Medics advised that when they arrived on scene Mr. Hildum was unconscious in the driver’s seat,” the affidavit says. “Medics advised that they gave Mr. Hildum two doses of Narcan, which is a total of eight milligrams before he regained consciousness.”
Medics asked if he knew what happened and if he knew a child was in the car. He seemed very confused and told them he did not, the affidavit says.
“Medics asked Mr. Hildum if he had used any heroin and he stated yes,” the affidavit says.
