Assurant, one of Clark County’s largest employers, is looking to fill 100 positions and will host a job fair this Saturday.
The company already employs about 1,600 workers at its facility in Springfield, so the new jobs will boost total employment to about 1,700, said Robert Byrd, a spokesman for the company. Assurant also has employees at an office in Dayton, but is in the process of moving those workers to the Springfield facility.
“The hiring is to meet increased demand for services from our clients,” Byrd said.
The company is looking for applicants for customer care and account processing positions.
The job fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Assurant’s Springfield facility at 1 Assurant Way. The company is looking to fill both full and part-time positions. A high school diploma or GED, as well as one year of related work experience is required.
Some of the positions may be eligible to work from home, depending on the position and the technology requirements, Byrd said. He declined to discuss typical pay for those jobs, but said salaries are based on experience and the position requirements.
Residents who are interested in jobs with the company can also apply online at jobs.assurant.com.
