Six windows were damaged or broken out at Lincoln Elementary School sometime this week, according to a Springfield City School District official and a police report.

All of the windows were located on the rear side of Lincoln Elementary School, which is located at 1500 Tibbetts Ave.

“Approximately six windows appear to be damaged,” said Cherie Moore, communications director for Springfield City School District. “We are working closely with the Springfield Police Division on this matter.”

Moore said she had no other details but would update the Springfield News-Sun with more information once it became available.

A school employee called to report the damage to Springfield police on Tuesday at around 1:30 p.m., according to a police report. The report also states that no entry was made into the building through the windows.
