Last spring, Home Depot launched a home-grown technology called Candidate Self Service, which moves candidates through the hiring process faster. The program gives candidates a chance to schedule their own interviews.

Nearly one million candidates have used the Candidate Self Service technology and the company plans to use it again to hire the 80,000 needed workers now.
“Technology is at the forefront of everything we do at The Home Depot, and that includes taking care of our associates,” said Tim Hourigan, executive vice president of human resources. “We continue to invest in technology so we can help candidates control their own journey and welcome new hires into our family faster than ever.”

Anyone looking for a job can apply at careers.homedepot.com for the 15-minute application, or text HOMEDEPOT to 52270 for a link to apply to local positions. Opportunities include overnight freight, garden, customer service and merchandising.
