Harbor Freight Tools announced this week that it would be opening a store at 1708 S. Main Street this Spring and is looking to add 25 to 30 jobs in the area.

Construction has already begun at the location, using local workers and companies from the surrounding Bellefontaine area, representatives of Harbor Freight said in a news release.

An official opening date has not been announced, but the company is looking to fill jobs for the new location that include sales and logistic supervisors, senior associates, sales associates as well as seasonal opportunities.

“We’ve been looking to open a location in Bellefontaine for a number of years so that we can provide the tools and equipment at tremendous values to the community,” said Trey Feiler, the senior vice president of real estate and construction for Harbor Freight Tools.

“In addition to finding a great location, we were attracted by the availability of great associates in the Bellefontaine area, and we look forward to having them join the Harbor Freight team,” Feiler added.

Harbor Freight Tools is based out of California and has 1,100 stores across the country as well as 23,000 associates.
