$1,000 worth of items were stolen from a home on Reed Avenue during a burglary.

A Springfield home was broken into on Monday and a thousand dollars worth of items were reported stolen.

Police responded around 9:40 p.m. to the 700 block of Reed Avenue on reports of a burglary, according to a police report.

When officers arrived, the victim told them someone stole $1,000 worth of items while he was at work.

“(The victim) stated he left for work around 8:30 a.m. and returned home from work around 9 p.m.,” the report says. “(The victim) stated his front door was unlocked when he got home from work and found several items missing from his house.”

He also told police that there were no signs of forced entry into his house.

According to the report, the items stolen include a 50-inch Samsung Smart TV, a Samsung Blu-ray player, an LG sound bar and a 49-inch LG flat screen TV.

No suspect information was available.

Springfield police continue their investigation into this burglary incident.
