Degahson’s legal troubles began after she was arrested following a shooting at the 100 block of Bassett Drive on Aug. 21.
Dewand Moore was shot multiple times and later died from his injuries at the hospital, according to Springfield police. “Officers located Ulonda Degahson and secured the scene,” the affidavit said. “Degahson was taken to the Springfield Police Division. During an interview with detectives Dan DeWine and Sandy Fent, Degahson admitted to shooting Moore multiple times. Subsequent investigation determined that Degahson purposefully shot Moore.”
Springfield Police Lt. Lou Turner said through the investigation, police determined Degahson and Moore were acquaintances.
