Jacob Mott, 23, is charged in Clark County Municipal Court with felonious assault and receiving stolen property. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and his bond was set at $50,000
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office accused him of shooting a person after a dispute over shoes that were allegedly stolen six years ago.
The victim survived the gunshot, but had to undergo surgery, according to the affidavit. Deputies said through their investigation they found that Mott was in possession of a stolen gun, but it was unclear if that weapon was used in the shooting.
