Thieves hit Mark McGowan Sr.’s truck sometime Saturday night. It was parked in front of his home on Cedar Street in Springfield.

McGowan suffers from stage three COPD and needs an oxygen tank to breathe. Stress and anxiety only make his condition worse.

You can imagine how frustrated he was to wake up to the expensive loss.

McGowan’s son, Mark Jr., began searching immediately on Craigslist, in local tire shops, on social media, hoping to find the tires, but with no luck.

He was able to gather enough money to find used tire, wheel and hubcap replacements so his father can take care of his health, but he’s hoping the people that stole the originals, will do the right thing.
