A man wanted for questioning in the slaying of a Lexington, Ky., dermatologist was arrested Wednesday by U.S. Marshals in Logan County.

Marty Roe, 63, is in the Logan County Jail, awaiting extradition to Kentucky.

Lexington, Ky., authorities on Thursday issued arrest warrants for Roe on murder and tampering-with-evidence charges in the Sept. 1 slaying of Dr. Martha Post, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team was looking for Roe after Lexington police issued the warrant for his arrest on a harassing-communications charge.

Roe was known to visit various campgrounds in the Indian Lake area. SOFAST surveillance led marshals to a local bar near one of the campgrounds, where they arrested Roe, according to the marshal’s office.

The Lexington paper quoted police as saying Dr. Post, 55, was found in her vehicle outside her office with gunshot wounds to her face and body.

Witnesses and family members told the newspaper that Roe had stalked Dr. Post for 1½ years, often calling her.

Dr. Post, according to police records obtained by the newspaper, had twice complained Roe had developed an obsession with her. She told police Roe said he wanted to be with her and wanted her to leave her husband, Dr. Robert Truitt.

Truitt told the paper that Roe had lived in an apartment in the basement of the office building where Truitt, who specializes in internal medicine, and Dr. Post practiced.

Truitt said Roe had done renovation work on the office building and was allowed to live in the basement because he had nowhere else to live. Truitt said Roe started having problems, and he stopped living in the basement apartment. Truitt did not specify what those problems were.

Roe was convicted in 2010 on misdemeanor charges of intoxication in Kettering Municipal Court and disorderly conduct in Miamisburg Municipal Court.
