Court records said Butler allegedly left the boy alone at a home in the 400 block of Vine Street on April 22 while she went to work. The child said he heard noises and tried calling his father several times, but he didn’t answer. The child then called 9-1-1.

“On our arrival, the child victim was on the porch and stated he was scared because he heard noises,” police said in a report.

Officers checked the house and found no threat.

The boy’s grandmother picked the boy up.
