Stacy Rife, 32, was arrested and charged with assault on a peace officer, according to a Springfield police report.

The incident started when Springfield police responded to the 1100 block of Buckeye Street at about 4:50 p.m. There, they found medics treating Rife, the report says.

“Ms. Rife became combative inside her vehicle,” the report says. “Ms. Rife was removed from the car by (an officer). During the course of removing Ms. Rife, she began fighting with (officers).”

Rife bit one of the officers on the left knee, the report says, and tried to bite him a second time unsuccessfully.
