The teen’s mother told police her son has had some problems with the father of her other child, who she also believes is the suspect in this incident, the report says. She said the suspect has threatened her family because he believes the teen stole a pair of shoes.

The mother told officers the suspect came to her house in a red four-door vehicle and banged on the door, but she did not answer, the report says. She then said the suspect and an unknown passenger left, driving north through the alley.

The juvenile said he was walking home on East Cassilly Street when a red car stopped him at the entrance of the alley, the report says. The teen said the suspect and passenger got out of the car and accused him of stealing “his stuff” and said “we want all your stuff” while pointing at his backpack.

According to the report, the stolen items include the teens black Nike backpack with gray Nike logo and a school issued Apple laptop computer that was inside the backpack.
