Kaitelyn Rector, 25, and Rachel Niece, 44, were arrested and charged with soliciting in Clark County Municipal Court. They were booked into jail but released. They are facing third-degree misdemeanors, according to their charging documents.
The affidavit filed with the cases says an undercover officer posed as a man trying to buy sexual favors from the women. The sting took place at around 2:30 p.m.
“At that time, an officer who was operating an unmarked vehicle was approached by the defendant, Katelyn Rector who was dressed in a white crop top and short black shorts in the area of W. Main St. and N. Vanada Avenue,” the affidavit says. “(The officer) advised the female entered his vehicle and he asked her how much $20 would get him. She advised ‘everything..’”
Rector was arrested by the safe streets team moments later, the affidavit says.
Another affidavit says Niece was arrested shortly after at around 3 p.m.
“At that time, an officer who was operating an unmarked vehicle was approached on the passenger side of his vehicle by the defendant, Rachel Niece, in the area of Jackson and West Main Street,” the affidavit says. “(The officer) advised she entered the vehicle, witnessed by (other officers) and he asked her how much $20 would get him.”
The woman allegedly told the officer that she would do a sex act and she was arrested by the task force.
Niece appeared in Clark County Municipal Court Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to the charges. A hearing in the case against Rector was continued, according to court documents.
