A Springfield mother has pleaded guilty to endangering children after her 2-year-old was found to be within reach of a loaded AR-15.

Citlalli Rosales, 20, entered her guilty plea this week. She was sentenced to 180 days in Clark County Jail with all but two of those days suspended, according to online court records. She was also ordered to comply with a children’s services case plan.

Rosales’s legal troubles began when the Clark County Sheriff’s Office raided her home at 1920 E. High Street. Deputies said they found guns and drugs in the home on Sept. 24.

“All the suspects were detained and placed in a patrol car along with a 2-year-old child,” an affidavit filed in the case says. “During the search of the living room where Citalli was with the child, a loaded AR-15 was on the floor in close proximate reach of Citalli with the child in her hands.”

Rosales originally pleaded not guilty to the charges, court records indicate but switched her plea to guilty on Thursday.

Mahdi Channels and Isiaah Channels were also charged in connection with the raid. Mahdi Channels was indicted in Clark County Common Pleas Court on counts of trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, possessing criminal tools and receiving stolen property. The next court date in the case has not been set.

The case in municipal court against Isiaah Channels was dismissed.
