NEW: Details released for Thursday Springfield shooting
“(One man) stated that as they crossed Lowery Avenue they heard multiple shots being fired,” according to a Springfield police report. ” (the man) stated that one of the shots struck (another man) in the right wrist.”
The man said he didn’t believe they were targeted.
“(The man) stated that they passed a white vehicle that was parked on the left side of the road facing the same direction when the shots were fired,” the report says. “Multiple people were outside of the vehicle at the time of the shooting. He didn’t believe anyone was specifically shooting at them and he felt they were just caught in the crossfire.”
The report says officers spoke with the two other men who gave the same story.

Officers wrote in the report that the truck the three were in had multiple bullet holes.
“Officers observed the rear window of the truck was busted out with what appeared to be a bullet hole in the lower left corner,” the report says “Officers also observed a suspected bullet hole going through the driver seat head rest, striking the rear dirver side porition of the cab and a potential bullet hole on the tailgate of the truck.”
The man who was shot was flown to Miami Valley Hospital, according to the report.
The case is still under investigation.
