Springfield police were called to the 400 block of Stanton Avenue at around 2 p.m. Monday where they spoke with a resident, a police report says.

“(The victim) advised that while he was away from his residence, an unknown suspect kicked in his door and ransacked his home,” the report says. “He stated that the unknown suspect urinated on the dog and floor.”
