A Springfield man has been indicted after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old.

Dallas McCormick, 24, was indicted in Clark County Common Pleas Court last week on charges of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. As of Friday afternoon, McCormick was not listed as an inmate at the Clark County Jail.

According to an affidavit filed in McCormick’s case, the 15-year-old told a Clark County Sheriff’s Office detective on Nov. 19 that she and McCormick began a relationship in June 2019.

The teen said McCormick moved into her home with her and her parents until her parents were evicted, the affidavit said. The two then moved in with McCormick’s mother.

McCormick and the victim got into an argument in November and the victim moved out to go live with her grandparents, according to the affidavit. It was around that time the victim was interviewed by sheriff’s detectives.

McCormick was interviewed by the sheriff’s detectives on Feb. 3, where he admitted to having a sexual relationship with the 15-year-old, the affidavit said.
