Derrick S. Long, 29, has been charged with one count each of domestic violence and criminal trepassing. He also had an outstanding warrant for menacing. He’s expected to appear in the Clark County Municipal Court at 10:30 a.m. today.

Police were sent to a home in the 300 block of South Burnett Road about a man who was allegedly threatening a woman with a knife at about 1 a.m. on Oct. 16. Officers found Long laying on the living room floor unconscious with a knife in his left hand, according to a police report. The woman told police the man had taken four white pills after arriving at the home at about 1 a.m.

Long and the woman began arguing because he is not allowed to be on the property. He then grabbed a butter knife and told her he was going to slit her throat, the report said. The woman then locked herself in the bedroom until officers arrived.
