Joshua L. Dooley, 28, is charged with domestic violence and disrupting public service. He’s expected in Clark County Municipal Court this morning.
Springfield Police Division officers were called to the 1900 block of Primm Drive about midnight Nov. 4 on a report of an assault. The victim called police from a neighbor’s home because Dooley had destroyed the phone when she attempted to call police during an argument, according to the incident report.

The victim, who told police she is eight months pregnant, also told them she and Dooley argued about sandwiches. He then threw the video game controller at her right cheek, causing the batteries to come out, the report says. During the struggle, he grabbed her hair and shoved her head into the couch.
An arrest warrant was issued on Nov. 6. Dooley was taken into custody Saturday night, according to jail records.
