READ: Mother of Urbana student who was high on cocaine pleads guilty
Police began their investigation when they were called to a home on the 1600 block of Catawba Avenue. When they arrived, they saw a man being treated by medics with a stab wound, according to a police report.
“(The victim) pulled up his shirt and I observed a cut/possible puncture wound to his abdomen,” the report says. “(The victim) informed me that Bennett had entered onto his property and attempted to fight with him. He stated Bennett began chasing him while wielding a knife and attempted to cut/ stab him. He stated he began running around cars on the street trying to create distance from the assailant, however, he was eventually stabbed in the stomach.”

Demetris Clark, 31, 626 N. Murray St. in Springfield: possession of heroin, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of cocaine and illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility
Stephanie Hoover, 40, 1238 Burket Ave. in New Carlisle: two counts of assault.
Michael Wallace, 23, 2256 Hillside Ave. in Springfield: having weapons under disability, improper handling of firearms ina motor vehicle, carrying concealed weapon.
Krista Rice, 45, 1242 Fyffe Ave. in New Carlisle: theft.
Angila Fields, 40, 4610 Strathaven Ave. in Dayton: operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Christopher Crane Jr., 36: escape.
Angeline Barker, 40, 2229 Sunset Ave. in Springfield: theft.
Josiah Gilbert, 32, 223 S. Western Ave. in Springfield: carrying concealed weapon.
Jason Caroppoli, 57, 417 E. Grand Ave. in Springfield: Robbery and receiving stolen property.
