The allegations were reported in April of 2017 but charges weren’t filed until March 21.

“The juvenile victim … advised that (Akers) came into her bedroom three to four times a week during nighttime hours and sexually assaulted her,” a Clark County Sheriff’s Office affidavit says.
The victim was known to Akers, according to the affidavit.
“The juvenile advised she was also photographed and videotaped by (Akers) when she was not fully dressed,” the affidavit says.
The affidavit says investigators talked to the girl’s mother and she said she had heard about the photos but hadn’t seen them.

“(She) advised that (Akers) admitted to the videos and photographs but she did not see them,” the affidavit says.
The woman made Akers take the electronics used to record the images back to the store, the affidavit says. The woman also told authorities she caught him in bed with the victim under the sheets, according to the affidavit.
Authorities also interviewed Akers, the affidavit says.

“We spoke of the videos and photos and he did not deny the allegation but could not explain why he did it,” the affidavit says. “Mr. Akers drew diagrams of the rooms and where he set his phone up in them to capture images of the victim. He spoke of his sex addiction and how he has attended counseling and completed the program at the end of 2017.”
