The Clark County Sheriff’s Office began their investigation Feb. 14 when they were called to a home for a domestic violence case, an affidavit filed with the charges in Clark County Municipal Court says. Authorities spoke with a witness at the scene, the affidavit says.

“She stated she went downstairs and (the teenager) and her boyfriend, Brook Bailey, were yelling at each other and she tried to get Brook to stop so she could hear what (the teenager) was saying and that’s when Brook grabbed her with both hands around her throat pushing her out of the way and he punched (the teenager) in the face.”

The witness said she was six months pregnant, the affidavit says.

The teenager said the fight started when she answered Bailey’s phone and began talking with the mother of his child, the affidavit says. Bailey was sleeping when the phone rang, the affidavit says, and he woke up to find the teen talking on it.

“She advised Brook woke up and grabbed his phone and then started to punch her in the face,” the affidavit says.

“She stated she ran upstairs and sat on the couch so he could get his stuff together when he came upstairs and hit her again.” She said she yelled for help and that’s when the Bailey allegedly assaulted the pregnant woman.

A warrant was filed for Bailey’s arrest, according to online court records.
