A Springfield 21-year-old is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old.

Scott Williams was indicted in Clark County Common Pleas Court this week on three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. They are fourth-degree felonies, according to online records, and he could face up to 18 months for each count.

A Springfield police report indicates police were contacted in April by the mother of the 14-year-old.

“The reporting party reported that she learned by a family member that her 14-year-old daughter had been having a sexual relationship with the suspect who is an adult,” the report says. “The reporting party stated that she learned about this after her daughter was concerned about being pregnant by the suspect which prompted her to tell a family member.”

The girl is not pregnant, Clark County Assistant Prosecutor Andrew Picek.
