A man walked into the BP at 2112 W. Main St. at about 5:30 p.m. and walked directly to the beer cooler. He allegedly took a 12-pack of Corona and walked back to his car, according to a police report.
The employee confronted the man who was sitting with his door open in the parking lot. He told the man to come inside and pay for the beer, the report said.
The suspect then slammed the car door shut, striking the employee in the chin. It caused a cut to his chin and another cut inside his mouth.
