A Springfield cardiologist who pleaded guilty to several federal charges including health care fraud has died, according to a court document.

Dr. Salim Dahdah died Friday morning, according to a notice filed in U.S. Federal Court.

Dahdah was indicted in 2017 with several felonies along with his wife, Cindy Dahdah. Both pleaded guilty to charges in November.
