When police arrived, the reporting party told them that sometime between Sunday night into Monday morning, multiple vehicles were damaged after the catalytic converters were sawed off and stolen.

The reporting party told police the vehicles were parked on the lot and being stored at the address for maintenance work, the report says.
The vehicles damaged include a 2006 Dodge Magnum, a 2002 Ford Taurus, a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am, a 1994 Chevrolet 3500 dually truck, and a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier.
According to one report, also stolen from the Chevrolet 3500 truck was a JVC stereo system and face plate from the dashboard and the front license tag.

No suspect information was available, and Springfield police continue their investigation into these incidents.
Police also responded last week to two other reports of attempted catalytic converter thefts from vehicles.
These incidents were reported on Feb. 6 at Cracker Barrel, 105 W. Leffel Lane, and on South Fountain Avenue.
The two male suspects from the incidents were described to be between the ages of 28 and 32, about 5-foot-7, and around 135 pounds. They were reportedly driving a blue four-door car, possibly a Chevrolet Impala.
