The man was shot in the arm while driving east on West Main Street, which caused both his driver and passenger windows to shatter. He was taken to the hospital.

“Upon arrival, officers found the victim standing by his car with a visible gunshot wound to his left bicep,” a police report says. “(The victim advised officers that he was shot by an unknown male who was inside of a brown and/or tan-colored car. (The victim) advised this was the result of a road rage incident.”
Witnesses at the scene, according to the report, said they saw a car cutting other vehicles off before the shooting.
“They advised the incident began at the intersection of North Bechtle Avenue and West Main Street,” the report says. “They advised a brown small car that was occupied by two men began passing cars at the light. They advised the suspect car cut off the victim and then drove at a high rate of speed eat of West Main Street. They advised the brown car then slowed down and allowed the car being driven by (the victim) to pass them. They advised the suspect vehicle then sped up and pulled up next to the car being driven by the victim and fired a gunshot from the passenger side window of the suspect’s car.”
A witness on scene said the shooter took off on South Western Street, the report says. No one was arrested in connection to the incident.

West Main Street at South Western Avenue was blocked in both directions for about an hour while police investigated the incident Friday.
