When police arrived, they spoke with an employee who said sometime overnight an unknown man broke into the business.

“An unknown male forced entry to the business by smashing the window and door glass on the west side of the business, then reaching through a hole he created in the door and disengaging the lock,” the report says.
“The unknown suspect then entered the store, selected several consumable items, a large tray with an unknown quantity of vapes and hand sanitizer before leaving the business to the northwest.”
Along with the stores surveillance video, the employee told police he spoke with a neighbor in the area who also had video of the suspect getting out of a vehicle and then fleeing back northwest after the suspect gets out of view of the store cameras, the report says.

According to the report, the suspect was wearing blue jeans and a pea green or brown hooded jacket. He reportedly stole a tray containing a large quantity of vapes, three bottles of hand sanitizer and miscellaneous snack cakes and donuts.
No other suspect or witness information was available.
Springfield police continue their investigation into this burglary.
