When police arrived, the victim said he found that someone had entered the garage and residence of a property he is renovating sometime during the week.

“(The victim) stated that he had tools and property for other residences stored in the garage. He discovered items and tools missing from the garage. He also discovered that someone had damaged the overhead garage door, and had stolen the garage door opener,” the report says.
While checking the house, the victim found the screen door missing from the back door, which had also appeared to be forced open.
“It did not appear anything had been removed from the shed,” the report says. “(The victim) stated that it appeared that the suspect(s) had removed the items from the property and went toward the alley to the north of the residence. There was trampled down grass, which was leading a path from the garage service door to the alley.”

According to the report, the items stolen include a Safeclimb scaffold, 36-inch and 30-inch bathroom vanity with top, 30-inch and 36-inch medicine cabinet, two composite saw horses, 100 Amp electrical panel, Little Giant ladder, Craftsman shop vac, two chandelier lights, two Rigid screw guns, 36-inch vinyl storm door, Genie garage door opener and four pre-hung interior doors.
No suspect or witness information was available.
Springfield police continue their investigation into this incident.
