When police arrived, the employees said the suspect entered the store wearing a black mask covering his face.
“The suspect demanded money from the employees who were working in the store,” the report says. “After shouting “give me all the money” as the suspect pointed a black handgun at the store employee, the suspect grabbed money from the cash register and left the store on foot headed north from Speedway parking lot.”

Officers searched the area but were unable to find the suspect. It’s unknown how much money was stolen.
According to the report, the suspect was described as a man wearing a black mask, black coat, black jeans and brown boots.
No injuries were reported and no other suspect information was available.
Springfield police continue their investigation into this robbery.

Early Monday morning, a man with a gun robbed this same Speedway just before 1 a.m.
According to the police report, the suspect pointed the gun at an employee, yelled at him to give him the money and threatened him, saying “I’ll shoot you. Do you want to die?”
This suspect was described as a man in his 20s or 30s, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds and has face tattoos. He was wearing a black hoodie with a stripe on the back, black pants, black shoes and green gloves.
No one has been arrested in either case, and it’s not clear whether the robberies are connected.
