A ouija board argument prompted domestic violence, Springfield police say

An argument over an ouija board caused a man to throw a DVD case at a woman’s head, according to Springfield police.

Police began their investigation on Wednesday at around 9:45 a.m. when a woman said the father of her two children started an argument after he found out that she allowed her brother to take a ouija board, according to Springfield police.

“During the argument, (the man) grabbed an empty DVD case and threw it at (her) striking her on the chin and causing a minor cut and bruising to her chin,” the report said.

No formal charges have been filed against the man, and he had not been arrested, according to police and court records.

He is also accused of throwing a phone against the wall and shattering the glass and taking the woman’s car.

“The whole incident occurred while both their small children were in the living room with them,” the report says.
