EARLIER: Juvenile among those arrested after armed robbery at Plum Food Mart in Springfield
Another suspect, a juvenile, also has been charged in the robbery and is being held in the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center.
Initial reports said a third person was arrested, but that person’s status is unknown at this time.
Court records say one of the suspects pointed a gun at the store employee when the three entered the Plum Food Mart on Tuesday evening.
The affadavit also says an employee and a customer were pepper sprayed.
The two other suspects then came around the counter and unsuccessfully tried to get into the cash register. After the register jammed, the two other suspects began to hit the store employee and ran away, the affadavit says.
Stephens and the juvenile suspect were taken into custody near Wittenberg University’s football field.
It’s unclear when the juvenile will appear in court.
