Nearly $700 worth of electronics reported stolen from Springfield home

A Springfield home was broken into on Thanksgiving and hundreds of dollars worth of electronics were reported stolen.

Police responded Thanksgiving night to the 100 block of North Douglas Avenue on a report of a burglary, according to a police report.

The resident told police nearly $700 worth of electronics were stolen between 7:40 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

“He (the victim) came home and found that the suspects removed a window A/C unit and climbed inside,” the report says.

According to the report, the items stolen include an unopened HP desktop tower, 32-inch flat screen TV with a remote, unopened 19-inch flat screen TV, and a Magellan GPS.

No suspect information was available and Springfield police continue their investigation.
