On Jan. 28, the Clark County Dog Warden was called to respond to a home on Pleasant Chapel Road, where the caller believed two dogs had died in the house and two more were still alive, the affidavit says.

A sergeant from the office said when he arrived at the home the next day, the residence appeared to be empty and he could see trash, urine and dog feces in the home through the window, according to the affidavit.
Two days later, the sergeant returned and reported he could see a small dog inside the house that was emaciated and another dog that was barking. He found a dead dog laying outside next to the home’s garage and the dog was so thin that its rib and hip bones were sticking out, the affidavit says.
Dog Warden officers removed four dogs from the home on Feb. 1 after no contact from Baas, according to the affidavit.
The penalty for cruelty to a companion-animal, a second-degree misdemeanor, is 90 days in jail or a $750 fine, according to court records.
