Enon woman accused of assaulting child, officers

An Enon woman faces multiple charges after she allegedly assaulted a child and kicked police officers.

Ashley Dixon, 31, was charged with child endangerment, assault, resisting arrest and domestic violence. She pleaded not guilty in the Clark County Municipal Court on Friday and her bond was set at $1,000.

Police were called to a home in the 3900 block of New York Drive about 11:30 p.m. Thursday after dispatch received a call from a 14-year-old saying Dixon had assaulted him and was “tearing up the house,” police said. When officers arrived, they noted the victim’s face was red and he had several marks and bruises around his face and neck, including a contusion under his eye, according to a police report.

Dixon allegedly pretended to be asleep when officers tried to question her and appeared to be heavily intoxicated, the report stated. As officers attempted to speak with the victim, they alleged she became uncooperative with police and tried to leave. She allegedly kicked and struggled against police efforts to restrain her and was eventually transported to the Clark County Jail.

The victim claimed Dixon had come back from a local bar intoxicated earlier in the evening, according to the report. When she attempted to leave again, the victim tried to take Dixon’s car keys, which led to the alleged assault, according to the report. The victim said Dixon allegedly hit his head against the door and pulled his hair during the altercation, causing injury.
