An Enon man is accused of sexually assaulting a girl over a three-year period.

Jacob Wiggins, 37, is charged in Clark County Municipal Court with rape, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and his bond was set at $250,000.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office began their investigation on June 15 when a report of sexual contact and conduct with a minor was filed with their office, an affidavit filed with the charges says.

A forensic interview was conducted with the child at the Clark County Child Advocacy Center on June 24, the affidavit says.

“Victim disclosed at the age of 9, (Wiggins) began performing (a sex act) on her and making her (perform a sex act on him) …” the affidavit says. “The child disclosed these acts occurred more than 10 times, stopping when she was approximately age 12.”

The victim was known to him, the affidavit says. The assaults stopped about four years ago, the affidavit says.

A warrant was requested for the arrest of Wiggins for rape, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition, according to the affidavit. Wiggins was arrested on Thursday at around 5:30 p.m., according to online jail records.

A next court date for July 9 was set in the case.
