Springfield Traffic Sgt. Michael Curtis said no one was seriously hurt in the accident.

“The driver sustained very minor injuries and was evaluated on scene by responding medics, but was not transported to SRMC (Springfield Regional Medical Center),” Curtis said. “The cause was simply failure to control, which the driver was cited for.”

He said no drug use, alcohol impairment, medical condition, or distraction was suspected.

Monday afternoon, the building had a large hole on the northeast corner of the building. It was boarded up with plywood.

The business was open on Monday afternoon.
