“(The resident) stated that she came home from work to find that an unknown suspect had been inside her apartment,” the police report says. “(The resident) stated that she found her living room window open. (The resident) advised that she did not know if the window was locked when she left for work.”
The residents also said that she found her front door unlocked, but was sure she locked it before she left. Neither the window or the door was damaged, the report says.
“(The resident) stated that her television, money and video games were missing,” the report says.
According to the report, $200 was taken from the home along with a 48-inch flat-screen television valued at $100 was stolen. The Playstation, its controller and the games were valued at around $500.
No suspects were identified in the report and Springfield police are continuing its investigation.
